Neil Mooney is an Attorney working primarily in Customs, Admiralty, and International Trade and Transportation matters. While exclusively practicing law today, he has been a licensed Customs Broker for thirty four years, one of an uninterrupted line of Customs Brokers, Customs Attorneys, or Customs Officials in his family since the 1840's. In 1984, he founded a family of Air Cargo, International Ocean Freight Forwarding, NVOCC, Customs Brokerage (including Drawback), and Bonded Warehousing companies which he later sold to a publicly-traded entity. Today he practices law with knowledge of Customs, Transport and International Trade matters obtained from decades of first-hand experience. He graduated Cum Laude from The Florida State University College of Law and studied traditional European Civil Law, the Laws of the European Union, and Public International Law at the Universidad San Pablo in Madrid, Spain. In addition to its Customs and International Trade practice, the firm has an extensive commercial and business law practice for Importers, Exporters, Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders, NVOCC's, Vessel, Truck and Aircraft Operators, and others dealing with international trade and transport. Based in Florida, our clientele are nationwide and international. We have clients on every U.S. coast and border, and in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
Neil Mooney is a member of the American Inns of Court. This organization is limited to judges and trial attorneys by invitation only . The number of seats is fixed, with openings occurring only as prior members retire. Its purpose is to encourage "bench and bar" social interaction between judges and effective attorneys who are recognized for their professionalism and high ethical standards. The organization also provides continuous legal training to keep courtroom skills honed for those with an active Trial Practice and to bring aspiring lawyers into the profession as well prepared as possible..
