CELEBRATING 50 YEARS IN LOGISTICS

Neil Mooney comes from an uninterrupted 175-year family line of Customs Brokers, Customs Attorneys, and Customs Officials. His hands-on logistics experience began at British Overseas Airways Corporation cargo, JFK, in 1972.  He became a licensed Customs Broker in 1978 and founded a successful family of Air Cargo, International Ocean Freight Forwarding, NVOCC, Customs Brokerage (including Drawback), and Bonded Warehousing companies in 1984.  Neil graduated with Honors from Florida State University College of Law in 1998, and studied International Law at the Universidad San Pablo in Madrid, Spain.

Today the firm provides service to its clients through a variety of activities. A partial list includes:

  • Litigation in the Court of International Trade regarding issues of Customs duties, dumping duties, rulings, and licenses.
  • Litigating maritime and other cargo claims;
  • Providing trusts, estate and succession planning;
  • Handling transportation employment issues and contracts;
  • Performing logistics business valuations;
  • Drafting and enforcing business and international trade contracts;
  • Providing mediation services;
  • Obtaining Federal licenses for forwarders, NVOCCs, Customs brokers, bonded warehouses, and more.

Though this is hardly an exclusive list, it does partly showcase where the firm assists clients on matters that arise in their day-to-day business.

Neil is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Florida as well as before all federal agencies.  His admissions include:

  • Supreme Court of the United States of America
  • United States Court of International Trade
  • Florida, all state courts including Aourts of appeal.
  • United States District Courts: Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, including those district’s  Federal Bankruptcy Courts
  • United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit

In April 2016, Neil  was inducted into the Florida Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association’s Hall of Fame in recognition of his service to it as President of that organization and in other capacities, and his tenure in the Customs brokerage and forwarder industry, his commitment to its continued advancement, and his ethical and moral reputation.
