In 2009, The Mooney Law Firm LLC opened its Washington, D.C. office to better serve our clients’ needs by liaising with the numerous administrative agencies located there. Washington, D.C. is home to the headquarters of Customs and Border Protection, the Department of State, the International Trade Commission, the Federal Maritime Commission and other agencies with regulations that impact international trade. Because local ports of entry are not authorized pursuant to Customs guidelines to make independent rulings on certain Customs matters, those matters are referred to CBP Headquarters in Washington. Local ports are also governed by trade policy formulated in Washington. The Washington office of The Mooney Law Firm LLC regularly engages with administrative agencies to resolve clients’ trade issues.
