Export Administration Regulations

The Export Administration Regulations, administered by the Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security, regulate the export and reexport of most commercial items. Pursuant to the regulations, some commodities require a license in order to export, depending upon the classification of the item, its destination country and end user.
