\u00a0 \u00a0 Liang + Mooney is managed by Dr. Shanshan “Shannon” Liang, Esq., Ph.D. and benefits from Neil Mooney’s fifty years of practical experience in international trade, law, and logistics.\u00a0 Neil is “of counsel” to the firm and consults on virtually every case.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 Shanshan Liang\u00a0 attended Tongji University for her B.Engineering\u00a0 degree and Fudan University for a minor degree in law.\u00a0 She obtained her Ph.D. in in Materials Science and Engineering at the State University of New York, Stony Brook, and finally her Juris Doctor law degree with high honors at the Florida State University College of Law.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 Because of both her engineering background and her international background, her main interests of practice are intellectual property and international trade.\u00a0 She assumed management of Liang + Mooney in 2022 after nine years at the firm.\u00a0 \u00a0She has two children with her husband, a professor of Computer Science.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\u00a0 \u00a0 Neil’s fifty years of logistics experience started in international trade in 1972, working in cargo operations at JFK Airport. In 1978 he obtained his Customhouse broker’s license and in 1984 he established a successful customs brokerage, freight forwarding, bonded warehouse, and NVOCC operation in Miami.\u00a0 He had 27 years of international logistics experience prior to finishing law school with honors in 1998.\u00a0 Neil became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator in 2015.\u00a0 He has three children and enjoys hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, and traveling to obscure historical sites worldwide.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\u00a0 \u00a0 The firm represents corporations as well as individuals.\u00a0 The practice is focused on federal administrative agency matters and litigation, including False Claim Act litigation.\u00a0 Any issue concerning Customs and Border Protection, or cross-border issues involving the Food and Drug Administration, the Federal Maritime Commission, the EAR, Census,\u00a0 or other export control agencies, regardless of location, is handled.\u00a0<\/p>
